Choro is one of Brazil's most demanding genres to play in the World, and finding women who play it in Australia is even rarer. We're Choro das Minas, Sydney's first all-women choro ensemble. From events celebrating Brazilian roots to upscale settings that call for elegance and quality, we fit right in. In our first 2 years, we've performed over 30 times — from festivals like Spot Festival (Randwick), Marrickville Music Festival, Stanmore Festival, The Woman's Club and Harmony Week in Barangaroo, to restaurants, private events and private clubs.
