Nyvo is a free community app for immigrants, at every stage. It brings together what usually lives in a dozen group chats: a community feed, events with tickets, a directory of local businesses, rooms to rent and jobs. It works in 15 languages, for someone who landed last month and for someone who has run a business here for years.

We arrived with two suitcases too.

We built Nyvo because we moved countries too and the community deserved better than fifteen Facebook groups. One app. Find friends, find the next community event, discover the businesses your people recommend, get a job through a real connection, find a sharehouse with someone who actually understands where you're coming from.

  • Where can I get Nyvo?

    Nyvo is live now. Download it free on the App Store or Google Play and start exploring your community.

  • Is Nyvo free?

    Yes. Free to install, free to browse, free to join free events. Paid events are ticketed inside the app: you pay the organiser's price plus a small service fee, shown before you confirm.

  • How is this different from Facebook groups?

    Facebook groups are big but noisy: good advice gets buried, scams slip through and old posts are hard to find. Nyvo puts your community's feed, events, local businesses with real reviews, rooms and jobs in one moderated app, in your own language, with no algorithm hiding what your community shared.

  • Is it safe to meet people from Nyvo?

    Nyvo is built to keep your community safe. Posts are moderated, paid event organisers are verified through Stripe, and one tap reports a person, post or message to a real moderator. As with any app, meet new people in a public place first and never send money to someone you have not met.

  • What does it cost to sell tickets?

    Free events cost nothing to host or attend. Paid tickets cost 4.5% of the ticket price plus A$0.50, per ticket. By default the fee is added at checkout, so you receive your full ticket price. No listing fee, no monthly cost. Payouts run through Stripe, so you connect a Stripe account once before your first paid event.

  • Do I need to come from a specific community to use Nyvo?

    No. Nyvo is built for every immigrant community. We go deep with one community at a time so each one feels like home from day one. Other communities follow as we earn the right to serve them properly.

  • Where is my data stored?

    In Australia. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles. Read the full Privacy Policy.

  • How do I get my community business listed?

    Claim your business in seconds from the directory in the app, or list it yourself on the Nyvo partner portal. If you get stuck, email hello@nyvo.com.au and we'll help.
