An toàn cho trẻ em
Tiêu chuẩn an toàn cho trẻ em
The short version. Nyvo is an 18+ service. We do not tolerate child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind on the platform. We use automated image moderation, in‑app reporting, manual review and account termination to keep this material off Nyvo, and we cooperate with law enforcement and the Australian eSafety Commissioner when it is found.
This page sets out Nyvo's published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, the solicitation of minors and the sharing of links to such material. It is published in compliance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy for apps in the Social category.
It should be read together with our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy.
1. Zero tolerance
CSAM and any other CSAE‑related content, conduct or solicitation is strictly prohibited on Nyvo. This includes:
- any image, video, text or link depicting, describing or promoting the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor (a person under 18);
- grooming behaviour — building an emotional connection with a minor for the purpose of abuse, exploitation or trafficking;
- sextortion — threatening to share sexual imagery to coerce a minor (or anyone) into sending more imagery, money or favours;
- soliciting, offering or sharing CSAM via any feature of the Service (posts, comments, messages, profile fields, links or media);
- attempting to contact a minor for sexual purposes through Nyvo, or directing a Nyvo User to off‑platform channels for such purposes; and
- promoting, trivialising or normalising the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors.
A single confirmed breach results in immediate and permanent account termination, preservation of the relevant evidence, and referral to the appropriate authorities (see section 5).
2. Age gate
Nyvo is for adults. Users must confirm they are 18 years or older at sign‑up and provide their date of birth, which we store and use to enforce the age threshold. Accounts identified as belonging to a person under 18 — whether through their own disclosure, a report, or evidence in their profile or activity — are removed.
3. Prevention and detection
We take the following steps to keep CSAE‑related material and conduct off Nyvo:
- Automated image moderation. All images uploaded to Nyvo — profile photos, post images, event covers, business and listing photos — are scanned at upload time by Google Cloud Vision's SafeSearch detector for adult, suggestive or violent content. We fail‑closed: if the moderation check itself fails, the upload is rejected rather than silently allowed through.
- Private 1:1 messaging with equivalent safety controls. Nyvo offers private direct messaging between adult Users. Direct messages are not end‑to‑end encrypted, so our moderation team can review a conversation when it is reported. Photos sent in a message are scanned by Google Cloud Vision's SafeSearch detector at upload time, exactly like any other image. Every message is reportable, any User can be blocked, and a first message from someone you do not already follow arrives as a silent message request (no notification) rather than pushing an alert to you. CSAM, grooming and the sexual solicitation of minors are prohibited in private messages exactly as on public surfaces, and are actioned under sections 1 and 5.
- Mention and link controls. Mentions of other Users in posts and comments require an existing relationship in‑app; outbound links are subject to the same moderation review as text content.
- Acceptable Use Policy. Our Acceptable Use Policy explicitly prohibits sexual content involving minors and any conduct that endangers a minor, and forms part of the User contract.
4. In‑app reporting
Every piece of User‑generated Content on Nyvo — posts, comments, event listings, business listings, housing and job listings, articles, direct messages and User profiles — is reportable from inside the app. Reports can be filed by any signed‑in User by tapping the "⋯" menu on the Content and choosing Report.
When a report is filed:
- The report is recorded against the target Content and the reporting User, and added to our moderation queue.
- Our moderation team reviews reports promptly. Reports flagged as relating to child safety are prioritised ahead of other categories.
- Confirmed violations result in immediate removal of the Content, account termination of the offending User, and preservation of the relevant Content and metadata for handover to authorities.
- Repeated reports against the same User trigger an automatic suspension while the case is reviewed.
Users can also report concerns directly to us by email at hello@nyvo.com.au — this is the same address designated as our CSAE contact in the Google Play Console.
5. Reporting to authorities
When we identify or are notified of CSAM on Nyvo, we preserve the relevant material and metadata and report it to the appropriate authorities. Because Nyvo is operated from Australia, our primary reporting channels are:
- the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) — via reports.accce.gov.au for material that may constitute an offence under Australian law;
- the eSafety Commissioner — via esafety.gov.au/report for content captured by the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth); and
- where the material or conduct has a US nexus, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.
We respond to lawful requests from Australian and international law enforcement in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
6. Compliance
Nyvo complies with:
- the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth) and the Basic Online Safety Expectations determined under it;
- the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth) (Division 273A — material that sexualises children, and related offences);
- Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy and the Google Play Developer Program Policies more broadly; and
- the Apple App Store Review Guidelines (section 1.2 — User Generated Content).
