How to get it

In NSW, you must have held a class MR or HR licence for 1 year or more. You pass the Heavy Vehicle Knowledge Test and an eyesight test. Then you complete the Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment (HVCBA) with a registered training organisation, or pass a heavy vehicle driving test. Other states have their own rules, so check your state road agency.
