We know what it feels like to land somewhere new without a community, to scroll through fifteen Facebook groups looking for an event, to wonder if the dentist down the road speaks your language. That's what we're fixing — for every immigrant community that's ever had to start over somewhere new.
Sidney Junior
Co-founder · Marketing & business development
Sidney Junior is the co-founder of Nyvo and sets the vision and strategy for the company's marketing, sales and business development. Launched in June 2026, Nyvo connects immigrants with businesses, products and services from their own community.
A graduate in Advertising from Unicarioca in Rio de Janeiro, Sidney arrived in Australia in July 2015 without speaking English. It was through the daily challenge of finding trusted services, products and people that the idea for Nyvo was born. He is also the founder of Shark Entertainment, a Brazilian events production and promotion company in Australia.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Sidney is driven by an obsession with winning, a love for learning and a genuine desire to make a difference in people's lives, believing that no immigrant should ever feel alone in a new country.
Alick Buscariolli
Co-founder · Product, growth & engineering
Alick Buscariolli is the co-founder of Nyvo and works across every side of the company. He wrote the business model and the revenue strategy, runs growth, marketing and partnerships, and builds the product itself — the iOS and Android apps, the web platform and the backend behind them.
Thirty-six years old and born in São Paulo, Brazil, Alick graduated in Electrical Engineering at FEI (Faculdade de Engenharia Industrial) in São Bernardo do Campo, then moved to Australia and studied Information Technology at AIT (Academy of Interactive Technology) in Sydney. He has spent more than eight years as a software engineer and has shipped over twenty apps.
He made the same move Nyvo is built for, and much of his work never shows up on a screen: deciding what Nyvo will never charge a newcomer for, choosing which communities to serve and in what order, and building the partnerships with the agencies and businesses that already serve them. He builds for the person who has just landed and doesn't know where to start.
