How to get it
In NSW, you must have held a car licence (class C) for 2 years or more, not a learner licence. You pass the Heavy Vehicle Knowledge Test and an eyesight test. Then you complete the Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment (HVCBA) with a registered training organisation, or pass a heavy vehicle driving test. In other states, check your state road agency.
