How to get it

In NSW, you must have held a car licence (class C, not a learner licence) for at least 1 year. You pass the Heavy Vehicle Knowledge Test and an eyesight test. Then you complete the Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment (HVCBA) with a registered training organisation (RTO), or a driving test where the HVCBA is not available. Other states have their own rules, so check your state's road agency.
