How it works

Four steps from idea to a paid-out event.

Everything happens inside Nyvo: discovery, tickets, the door and the payout. No external ticket page, no spreadsheet of names, no chasing money after the show.

    Register and connect Stripe

    Create your organiser account on the partner portal. To sell paid tickets, connect a Stripe account once — Stripe verifies you and pays your bank directly.

  2. 02

    Set up your event and tickets

    Add ticket types with their own price, capacity and sale window — early bird, general, VIP — plus promo codes. Free RSVP events need none of this.

  3. 03

    Sell inside the app

    Your event lands in the feed and events tab of every member in your city. Buyers pay in a few taps and get a QR ticket you scan at the door with the built-in scanner.

  4. 04

    Get paid through Stripe

    Sales land in your Stripe account as they happen. After your event ends, Stripe releases the money to your bank — no invoices, no waiting on us.

What a ticket actually costs

The fee is 4.5% of the ticket price plus A$0.50, per ticket. By default it's added at checkout, so the buyer sees it before paying and you receive your full ticket price. Prefer a round number? Absorb the fee and take it out of your side instead.

Card processing is included in the fee. Nyvo isn't registered for GST, so there's no GST added on top of the fee. Fee changes come with at least 30 days' notice.

What organisers ask before they list.

  • What does it cost to sell tickets?

    Free events cost nothing to host or attend. Paid tickets cost 4.5% of the ticket price plus A$0.50, per ticket. By default the fee is added at checkout, so you receive your full ticket price. There's no listing fee, no monthly cost, and card processing is included.

  • How fast do I get paid?

    Sales land in your Stripe account as they happen. Once your event has ended, Stripe releases the money to your bank — allow up to 5 business days, plus Stripe's own settlement time. You can follow every event's payout on the partner portal.

  • What about refunds?

    You set the refund policy on each event, and buyers see it before they pay. A refunded ticket goes back to the buyer's card in full, service fee included — you never handle the money by hand.

  • Can I link to Eventbrite or my own ticket page instead?

    No. Paid events on Nyvo sell through Nyvo checkout, so buyers never leave the app, their ticket sits in their wallet with a QR code, and you scan it at the door. Free RSVP events don't need tickets at all.

  • Who can list an event?

    Any organiser with a Nyvo partner account. To sell paid tickets you connect a Stripe account once; Stripe verifies your identity and pays your bank directly.

  • Where do my buyers come from?

    Members of the Nyvo community in your city — immigrants from around the world who use Nyvo to find what's happening near them.
