Lays bricks and blocks to build walls, houses and other structures.

What you do

You read plans to work out the materials and measurements. You spread mortar and lay bricks or blocks in rows, and check they are straight and level. You may cut and shape bricks to fit, build arches and repair brickwork. You may also put up scaffolding.
