You need a licence before your first shift

Security work needs a state licence. The regulator runs a criminal history check, and some offences can stop you from getting one.

What you do

You patrol property and check doors, windows and gates. You issue security passes to visitors and give directions. You monitor alarms, and you contact supervisors, police or the fire brigade if there is a security breach or a fire.
