How to get it
First finish the required training with a registered training organisation approved by Victoria Police, usually the Certificate II in Security Operations (CPP20218), plus first aid. The course gives you a certificate, not the licence. Victoria Police publishes the list of approved RTOs. Then apply to Victoria Police, Licensing & Regulation Division. They check your identity and criminal history, and some offences stop you from getting a licence. Unarmed guard and crowd controller are separate activities on the licence. Apply for each one you need.
