How to get it
First finish the required security training with a registered training organisation. The course gives you a statement of attainment, not the licence. Then apply to Consumer Affairs Tasmania. You must be 18 or older. Your fingerprints are taken at a Tasmania Police station and a national criminal history check is done, and some offences stop you from getting a licence. Crowd control and general guarding are separate activities on the licence. Crowd control and general guarding both need a current first aid certificate.
